Overview
In order to satisfy strict planning conditions controlling views across the Chiltern hills, it was a requirement that this new luxury hotel was constructed partially below ground level. After forming a contiguous piled retaining wall, 8000m³ of spoil was removed and the insitu concrete frame was constructed for the basement spa and swimming pool. The completed 4 storey development provides 46 premium en-suite bedrooms and 4 suites, along with an extended first floor restaurant.
The building operations were planned and progressed to enable the continued running of the course, clubhouse, conference facilities and restaurant.
