Overview
This new apartment building has been created from a former Officer’s Mess facility, originally built in 1937, on the edge of this North Hampshire army camp. The one and two bedroom self-contained flats were officially opened by the base Commander and are being offered on a shared-ownership basis by Kingfisher Housing Association to the whole community. The former Mess building has been completely stripped out, new concrete floors have been laid and internal walls have been installed to form eighteen separate flats. The interiors have been finished to a high specification, featuring modern fitted kitchens and en-suite facilities. Built on the edge of this military site, the development looks out across the open common land and is surrounded by beautiful woodlands.
