Due to the amalgamation of two local schools, this major new-build project involved the complete design and construction of a brand new 420-place primary school with a 25-place nursery and outdoor recreational space. Built on the site of an existing smaller school, the original buildings had to be completely demolished and replaced with a state-of-the-art, purpose-built structure. This new, modern, single-storey building, which houses part-cloistered classrooms and a library, has been constructed around a central courtyard. Opened by the Bishop of Reading, this creatively-designed school features sloping ceilings, wood beams, striking blue sto rendering and high ceilings, which are designed to offer pupils and staff the maximum amount of natural light.
