This site is located within a conservation area in the centre of Oxford, along the route of the old city walls and includes one of the ancient city wall bastions at its heart, making this one of the most challenging projects Feltham Construction has undertaken.
The main entrance to the building is from Ship Street, through the renovated Grade II listed archway of the former Ship Street Inn. The building consists of a glass-roofed passageway, leading to the reception area, from which access is gained to the lecture theatre (which can seat up to 100 people) and 31 en-suite bedrooms for both students and business conferences.
The outdoor area provides access to the bastion, which is a central feature and acts as a focal point to enhance the historic integrity of the development.
